The FTC Advanced Programming Topics Class is an intense class aimed as raising the skills and capabilities of attendees.

This is a series of 5 scheduled classes that build on each other and that run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays (7/15, 7/18, 7/22, 7/25 and 7/29)

Topics Include: Code Maintainability (State machines & Github), Control Theory, Sensor Usage/Localization/Data Filtering, Limelight-based Ball Collection, Command-based Architecture, Proper Auto Programming. Robots are provided. Attendees need to bring their own computer.

Note: this class is for experienced FTC programmers, and it not appropriate for rookie programmers.  More basic instruction is provided in our FTC Bootcamp experience.

This is the registration for a single seat for the 2026 BrainSTEM Advanced FTC Programming Classes.

This is a series of 5 scheduled classes that build on each other and that run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays (7/15, 7/18, 7/22, 7/25 and 7/29)

Individuals signing up will be able to participate in this intense class to dive deep into FTC robotics software issues.

Please Note:  this purchase is for a summer class – it is not a BrainSTEM team membership.

The camp will be held at BrainSTEM HQ at 300 Allegheny Drive, Warrendale, PA 15086 and run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays (7/15, 7/18, 7/22, 7/25 and 7/29). The classes covers topics of great interest to experienced FTC teams and assumes a full understanding of basic FTC programming and will not be covering those topics.  If you are interested in more basic programming, the FTC Bootcamp is a better choice..


The FTC Advanced Programming Topics Class is an intense class aimed as raising the skills and capabilities of attendees.

Goal: Become a strong independent robotics programmer capable of writing clean, modular code to address a braod range of challenges (Using Java in Android Studio for FTC)

  • Code Maintainability (State machines & Github)
  • Control Theory: designing robust control systems (PID, feedforward, gain-scheduling)
  • Sensor Usage, Localization, and Data Filtering
  • Programming your own Limelight Ball Collection pipeline
  • Command-based Architecture
  • How to Properly Code an Auto (plus auto competitions on last day)
