How to participate in PAFLL
Register nationally, obtain a Western PA FLL Season Pass for each local team, and select events when registration opens.
Before using this site
- Create or renew each team through the official FIRST Dashboard.
- Keep the official FIRST team number available.
- Identify up to three adult coach contacts for each team.
Choose a Competition Division for each team
Both Divisions include the full local experience: Western PA scrimmages, robot-game rounds, judging activities, Division awards, and a Western PA Grand Championship.
OPEN Division
The default and most intensely competitive choice. OPEN Division is the traditional full-scale experience and advances champions to postseason opportunities.
SCHOLASTIC Division
An opt-in choice offering the same core local experiences in a less intensely competitive environment without postseason advancement. It can suit teams with limited season time, more limited experience, or a different experience level from another team in the same program.

On the PAFLL site
- Open Buy Season Pass(es) and create or sign in to one coach account.
- Register every team you manage. Each team automatically appears on the public roster by team name and FIRST team number.
- Confirm the organization, city, and up to three coach contacts.
- Leave the default as OPEN Division or actively select SCHOLASTIC Division.
- Choose the intended Season Pass payment method for every team.
- Beginning September 1, select an AM or PM session for each event.
School payment delays are okay
Teams may register for events even when a check, purchase order, or other school payment is still being processed. Payment status and event eligibility are tracked separately.
